yappr turns a photo and a voice into a short talking video. That means we handle two of the most personal things there are — a face and a voice — so this policy is specific about what leaves your phone, why, and how long it stays. In short: we collect only what a render needs, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

Photos & faces: The photo you pick or shoot is uploaded so the render can be produced on our servers — animating a face is not something a phone can do on its own. Before every render you confirm that the face is yours or that you have permission to use it.

Voice & audio: If you record a line, the recording is uploaded and used to drive the mouth movement and the soundtrack. If you type a script instead, only the text is sent, and a catalogue voice reads it. Voice cloning, where offered, uses samples you record on purpose for that feature.

Your yapps: Finished videos and their settings — the character, emotion, intensity and aspect ratio you chose — are stored so your library survives reinstalls.

Purchases: Credit packs and Pro subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play through RevenueCat. We receive a subscription status; we never see your card details.

Basic diagnostics: Aggregated, anonymous analytics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics) so we can keep renders fast and the app stable.

How we use it

To run the core feature: generating a talking video from the face, voice and direction you supply.

To keep your credit balance and Pro entitlements correct across your devices.

To improve reliability, render speed and quality. We do not use your face or your voice to train public models, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not sell them.

Sharing & storage

Your yapps are private to you unless you choose to share or export them. Nothing you make is published anywhere by us.

Data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure (Firestore, Storage) with industry-standard security and access controls.

Rendering uses third-party AI providers for speech synthesis and video generation. They receive only what a single render needs, and they are not permitted to retain it for their own purposes.

Retention

Source photos and recordings are kept only as long as the render pipeline and your library need them; delete a yapp and its inputs go with it.

Deleting the app does not delete server-side data on its own — use the in-app delete, or contact us for a full account wipe.

Your choices

Camera, photo-library and microphone access are each requested only at the moment the feature needs them, and each can be revoked in your system settings at any time.

You can delete any yapp from your library, and you can request deletion of everything we hold by contacting us at the email listed on this site.

Children

yappr is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will remove the account.
